Halloween is almost here, and you know what that means. It’s time to start carving some pumpkins. It doesn’t matter how old you are. When it comes to pumpkins, the process is chaotic but oh-so-much fun! With a little bit of time and some luck, you can define all the characteristics you want on your pumpkin and get them to pop. After all, you want yours to be the scariest in the neighborhood, don’t you? So, go on! Show the world that you’re a total boss with the carving knife and design a pumpkin carving that will give everyone mind-blowing nightmares.
#1. You want everyone to go batty for your pumpkin carving this Halloween, but you’re drawing a blank.
That’s okay. Pumpkins can be scary or cute, big or small. It really doesn’t matter as long as they’re unique. You also have to remember that having fun is just as important as the design. But in case you’re stumped on what to carve. We have a few ideas that will give people something to scream about.
#2. Here’s a super creepy idea for your pumpkin carving that will really knock it out of the graveyard.
Carve some gnarly teeth into two pumpkins. Add two tiny pumpkins into the eye sockets. Then, add a pair of skeleton hands and place one pumpkin on top of the other. You’ll give everyone that Hear No Evil vibe.
#3. Pump up that pumpkin with an assortment of creative patterns of all shapes, sizes, and of course, colors.
A combo of patterns not only brings out your artistic side, but it can turn any front yard or backyard into a magical wonderland. This is a great alternative if you have kids who are too little and might get scared easily by a regular Jack-o-Lantern.
#4. Turn a pumpkin into an enchanting greeter with a bewitching look that will put folks under her spell.
You don’t have to go full on deep with the carving. Just carve deep enough to make the eyes, nose and mouth noticeable. Glue some lashes while you’re at it. Then, all you’ll need is a witch’s top hat and black cloak. But don’t forget to add an extra pumpkin under her for the body.
#5. Make your pumpkin smell like a bouquet of flowers if you’d rather opt for a less scary Halloween.
Cut a hole on the top, scoop the guts out. Then paint the pumpkin with gold spray paint. Afterwards, all you have to do is stick a tiny cup or a vase inside. Then fill it with water and add a couple of your favorite flowers. It’s that easy!
